Frederick County Public Colleges has reorganized central office environment staffing for its unique instruction office and is choosing for a new cupboard-stage posture.
The district is looking for a person to fill a new posture known as “executive director for specific education and college student companies,” FCPS Deputy Superintendent Mike Markoe mentioned in an job interview Tuesday.
That man or woman will be a part of the cupboard of FCPS’ new superintendent, Cheryl Dyson, who began her tenure July 1. They will report to Markoe.
Previously, FCPS’ special education and learning applications were being overseen by Keith Harris, the district’s executive director of accelerating accomplishment and equity. Harris’ section also oversees FCPS’ applications for gifted and proficient students, English learners, and cultural proficiency.
Below the new organizational prepare, the district’s particular training directors, Linda Chambers and Troy Keller, will report to the new government director rather of to Harris.
FCPS’ college student providers director, Dana Falls, will also report to the new executive director, instead of to Markoe.
