João Filipe Ferreira joined NTU in 2018 exactly where he is at present a Senior Lecturer in Laptop Science. He was an Invited Assistant Professor from 2011 to 2017, and an Invited Teaching Assistant in Electrical Engineering and Personal computers at the College of Coimbra from February to September 2011. He was a Probationary Training Assistant in the exact space and at the identical university from 2002 to 2004. He been given his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Coimbra, specialisation in Instrumentation and Handle, in July 2011. He gained his MSc diploma in Electrical Engineering from the School of Sciences and Technological innovation, University of Coimbra (FCTUC), specialisation in Automation and Robotics, in January 2005. He obtained his Electrical Engineering B.Sc. diploma (5-calendar year study course, specialisation in computers) from the same school, in July 2000.

He is currently a researcher at the Centre for Laptop or computer Science and Informatics (CIRC) and has been a staff researcher at the Institute of Techniques and Robotics at FCTUC, considering that 1999 (integrated member due to the fact 2011, study team manager in 2016), and a member of the IEEE and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Culture (RAS) given that 2012 (Officer in the Portuguese Chapter from 2014 until finally 2018, member of the Technical Committee on Cognitive Robotics, T-CORO, considering that 2015, and member of the Specialized Committee on Agricultural Robotics, TC AgRA, since 2019), the IEEE Lifestyle Sciences Community since 2013, the IEEE Devices, Male, and Cybernetics Culture due to the fact 2015 and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society considering the fact that 2015. He is also a member of the British Computer system Modern society given that 2019.
