Tennessee college alumni lobby to remove Supreme Court Justice Barrett from school’s ‘hall of fame’

An alumni group at Rhodes University made a petition for the university to clear away Supreme Courtroom Justice Amy Coney Barrett from the school’s “Corridor of Fame” for the reason that of her vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The petition was established by Rhodes Faculty Alumni for Reproductive Legal rights and is becoming despatched to the school’s president Jennifer Collins and Director of Local community Standards Richard Adams.

According to the letter, the signatories’ “firm belief in the Rhodes Honor Code we all signed impels us to make this ask for.”

The letter argues that Barrett has violated the Rhodes Honor Code as a result of her testimony in the Senate affirmation hearings and in her “judicial conclusion-producing method.”
